Foam earplugs and an eye mask

Instead of sleep gadgetry

~$15 against $100 to $400

Both aim at the same two inputs. One of them removes those inputs directly.

TrialsPublished evidence on this thing itself.ValueThe same job for less money.

Randomised trials in coronary and intensive care units have tested this pair against usual care and found better sleep quality, with eye masks raising overnight melatonin against control. Light and noise are the two things the expensive devices measure, model and report back to you in the morning. Blocking them costs fifteen dollars.

What you give up

Those trials ran on hospital wards, where noise and light are the problem being solved. A quiet dark bedroom has far less to gain, and neither of these touches a sleep disorder. Foam plugs need replacing, and a side sleeper will find them sore.

Some of these are Amazon affiliate links, and buying through one earns Yojo Dojo a small commission at no extra cost to you. Where a maker sells direct, the link goes there instead and usually pays less. Prices are rough, not live, and nothing on this page paid to be here.
